Regular tours of the brewing facility at Mount St Bernard are available to book. The nature of our brewery tours requires that they are operated whilst the facility is not in active production, ensuring that a peaceful and tranquil environment is maintained for the monastic order of monks in residence. During the tour, visitors will experience an insightful journey that entwines the ale-making process with the rich history behind the Trappist order at Mount St Bernard. Please visit https://www.msbtrappist.co.uk/visit-learn/ for upcoming tour dates and to book.
The brewery is proud of its humble home and also takes pride in the endeavours of the monks who oversee the creation of our unique English Trappist Ale. Mount St Bernard Trappist Brewery is the only Trappist Brewery in the United Kingdom and welcomes visitors who wish to learn more about the intricate process of ale-making and how the Tynt Meadow beers are crafted.
There is also an on-site shop that sells the Tynt Meadow beers together with a selection of beers from the other Trappist Breweries in the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy - Chimay, La Trappe, Tre Fontane, Orval, Rochefort, Westmalle, Westvleteren and Zundert. The Brewery Shop is open on Saturday Brewery Tour days only, between 11:30 – 16:30. Importantly, all proceeds raised from tour operations and the brewery shop contribute directly to the upkeep of the community and also support the abbey’s charitable works.
