Bowness Bay Brewing moved to Kendal in 2015 and increased capacity from five to 16 barrels. Now expanded to a 2,500-litre, automated, four-vessel brewing system, capable of brewing up to six times a day. The original five-barrel plant is used for small experimental brews. In 2020 grant funding allowed expansion into keg beers. Onsite tap, the Barrel House, showcases the core range and seasonal specials. Live music space (since 2021), The Venue, hosts beer festivals, weddings and private parties.
