Greene King is launching its seasonal summer cask range alongside a programme of football-themed promotions.
Returning for May and June is Hopping Special, a 4.2 per cent ABV amber beer brewed with five malts and late dry hopping. The beer has soft tropical fruit and citrus notes and is a returning seasonal favourite as the weather starts to get warmer.
Running from May through to the end of August, there will also be a 4 per cent ABV summer golden ale. Brewed for easy drinking, it has citrus and tropical fruit characters and is designed for summer drinking. Independent venues will sell the beer with interchangeable pump clips:
- 4-4-Brew – a football-themed design aligned to the big summer tournament (above)
- On The Bounce – inspired by the annual tennis championships
- Brightside – designed with hot weather and pub gardens in mind.
Alongside the seasonal range, the brewery will roll out a series of football and match day-focused activations, including pub decorations, fixture posters, branded point of sale and football-themed merchandise.
In Scotland, Belhaven will support independent pubs with activity for its new lager, Belter. In Belhaven-managed pubs there will also be T-shirt giveaways for Belter drinkers during the tournament.
