Nestled in the folds of the West Suffolk hills The Packhorse Inn sits at the heart of its community. A stroll away from the medieval bridge that inspired its name and a short trot from all that Newmarket has to offer. One of the Chestnut Collection – a collection of pubs with rooms and Big Houses in the East of England. As well as dining in the restaurant, light bites are available from the bar Monday to Saturday noon– 9pm.

Historic Interest

A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 26 June in 1860 gives :Reference to the late Mrs Mary TWEED, at the King's Head Inn, Moulton. A report in the Bury & Norfolk Post & Suffolk Herald** on 02 Oct in 1883 states that : Mr George W. DOUGHTY, King's Head, Moulton, whose licence was refused a month ago, now applied through Mr Bendall, his solicitor, for its renewal. PC Ling of Moulton stated that there had been no disturbances at the house since - Renewal was granted.
