Historic Interest

The original White Hart was on the corner of Duddery Hill & High St. & was the only Suffolk pub owned by Hawkes & Company, Brewers, Wine & Spirit merchants, from Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. It was demolished c1963 & rebuilt further back from the road, on or near the site of the Butcher's Arms, which was demolished at about the same time.
