The Library Bar is a spacious, high-ceilinged, light and airy bar serving not just the needs of theatregoers in the evenings, but those of the local community during the day, when it provides a haven from the bustle of the adjacent market. Occupying the front of the ground floor of the former public library, it offers several keg beers (usually Camden Pale and Lager) and a cider (usually Hawks Urban Orchard) on tap. There is a patio area outside for clement weather.

There is a small range of snacks available.

The former public library was built in 1895 by the Cornish newspaperman and philanthropist Passmore Edwards in early seventeenth century classical style. The Bush Theatre, of which the Library Bar is a part, has been successfully championing new writers since its establishment in 1972 above a pub on nearby Shepherds Bush Green.

NB the bar is only open on performance days; and is card-only.
