This Pub is Permanently Closed
CLOSED in autumn 2013. The building is due to be demolished and rebuilt to become part of the Dorsett Hotel next door by early 2020.
Constructed as the Shepherd’s Bush Cinematograph Theatre in 1910 by Montagu Pyke and renamed the Shepherd’s Bush Palladium in 1923. Subsequently becoming the Essoldo, the Classic and finally the Odeon 2 – until 1981 when it closed for the final time. The property was converted to a pub/bar owned and operated by Intertain and branded Walkabout, an Australasian-themed bar.
