Historic Interest
Originally two cottages dating as far back as at least 1864 as a pub, acquired by West Cheshire Brewery in late 1890s. Significant alterations and reconstruction work to the pub in 1930/31. Described in 1990 as a large comfortable two roomed pub in a suburban setting selling Whitbread Castle Eden Ale by handpump. Closed by early 2015, property for sale and demolished in 2019. The black & white photo is from 1980.
