Traditional pub at the heart of Oxton village, refurbished in June 2015 as a Golden Oak Inn. The building dates back to 1847 and has interesting wood panelled nooks and crannies with local photographs. Quiz night Monday. Public car park opposite the pub.

Historic Interest

A building, originally in two parts, dating prior to 1847, Listed in Bagshaw's Directory of 1850. Selling Higsons beers into the 1980s.
