Historic Interest

Dating from at least 1860, an Argyle Brewery pub transferred to Birkenhead Brewery in 1865. Serving Whitbread beers into the 1980s. Whitbread selected this pub for an experiment to reintroduce real ale but ignored all advice from CAMRA and the experiment failed. Closed in October 2017 and converted to a restaurant.
