Smart hotel, part of a small chain, located in the centre of this attractive market town. Formerly an 18th century coaching inn but some 16th century features of its town house origins remain. Two bars either side of the entrance corridor both serve real ale. Up to three guest beers are generally available. There is a rear courtyard for outdoor drinking and a heated and covered smoking area. Food is served every day from an extensive menu of main meals and snacks.
