This Pub is Closed Long Term

CLOSED: Aug-20 with planning permission granted for change to domestic.

Oct-19: Cask ale now available via 1 x handpump, with additional ales from polypin.

Remote free house high on the North Downs and close to the long distance path yet easily accessible by buses R5 or R10 from Orpington which will drop you outside the front door. The bright and comfortable front bar, complete with log fire and decorated with horse and hunt prints, was refurbished in 2017 while the rear room provides an intimate dining space. A huge peaceful garden includes a children's play area. The car park can be used by walkers before or after using the pub.
