This Pub is Permanently Closed
A traditional street-corner pub on the edge of Manchester City Centre. Well placed opposite the Museum Of Science & Industry, the area around it has become fashionable in recent times, but The Commercial remains oblivious to the wine bars & Sushi restaurants further along the road.
What were once separate rooms to the left & right as you enter have had doors removed & entrances widened to become just partitioned areas. The main bar is to the right rear of the building with an outside smoking are accessed from a doorway in the rear area.
Although there is a jukebox & games machines, the rest of the pub has a traditional feel with wall mounted seating, period wallpaper and traditional furnishings.
Only one real ale is available - Joseph Holt's bitter usually is reasonably good condition.
Budget accomodation is available upstairs.
