Wine Bar.
Wine shop and bar, recently opened in the former Age UK shop premises. It really is a wine bar with only a token handful of bottled beers and ciders but a score of different wines available by the glass and by the bottle. “Kelder” is the Afrikaans word for cellar and is a nod to the owner’s South African heritage, but the wines themselves are from all over the world. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed – almost soporific on a warm afternoon. There is a much wider choice of wines by the bottle in the shop part of the operation (and these are of course available to take out). There are tables outside on the pavement on the cul de sac side of the building.
Please note that Kelder only accepts payment by card (no cash).
