Formerly named the "New Inn" in 1851, the pub received its licence as a beer-house in 1839. It was rebuilt at the turn of the 19th century when, under the long tenure of the Bache family, it became one of Highley’s institutions.

Its central location on the village High Street makes it a popular venue, especially at weekends. Entering from the main road into the bar area with a larger Lounge to your right and a smaller 'function' room set up with sound equipment and lights to the left. The large enclosed garden with children's play equipment is popular with families.

Cobs and snacks are available. Now a Free house.
