Originally a coaching inn and posting house dating back to 1820, now a country inn with flagstone floor in an informal bar and comfortable lounge/dining room with a log fire in the Adam style fireplace.
The premises have an ample sized car park and beer garden. Nearby is the famous beech hedge which was planted in 1745 and now stands 100ft high and is a third of a mile long; it is ranked the world's tallest hedge.
