This Pub is Closed Long Term
Widely considered to be the oldest hotel in Scotland. Built as a tavern in 1502. Converted to a hotel in 1572. Privately-owned. Famous for its Poet's Bar, where Burns wrote a poem on the chimney-breast which can still be read whilst drinking in the bar.
