First licensed in 1804 when it was part of a street of shops, this is now a standalone building. The bar has an olde-world feel if you look beyond the modern chrome-and-plastic additions. A small side room has some interesting old photographs, and allows an escape from the music and TV of the bar. Behind the bar is a modern lounge area. Although no food is served there is an Indian restaurant adjoining the pub. Happy 'hour' on Mondays when cask ale is £1 per pint, noon to 5pm. Please note that the venue only accepts cash, no card transactions.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
Changing beers typically include: Sharp's
Cask Ale
