This Pub is Closed Long Term

A locals pub/nightclub centred on the St Thomas community. It was known for a large glass dome structure at the rear, which was ordered to be removed by the local council in 2021, due to a lack of planning permission! The pub closed shortly after and it was still seen to be closed up in November 2024.

On the 24th April 2023, the following preliminary planning application was made to Swansea City Council, but was only partially agreed, with a "Mixed" response given on Thu 15 Jun 2023: 2023/0934/PRE | PRE APP - Demolition of nightclub premises and development of 16 no. residential apartments | City Bar, Miers Street, St Thomas, Swansea SA1 8BZ
