LONG TERM CLOSED!

This popular Pub and Restaurant closed suddenly on the 5th January 2025, announcing that they hope to restructure and be back 'very soon'. However an announcement in April 2025, by new owners Redefining Dining Co says that this will be redeveloped into a multi-brand destination. With the venue bringing together three different food concepts under one roof. Alas all three listed all appear to be restaurants with no bar service mentioned. The redeveloped site is expected to retain the name and reopen late 2025.

The name "Rake and Riddle" refers to tools used in the local cockle fishing industry. Popular for its food, due to a steep hillside behind the building, the layout initially appears to be upside down! The restaurant and a small bar are on the ground floor and the main sports bar, a small games room and pizzeria are upstairs. The upstairs bar and garden terrace can be accessed directly from the car park at the rear. The décor is simple and modern throughout.

Real Ales are usually from the nearby Gower Brewery with occasional guest beers at busier times.
