Historic country village pub in North Gower, and the highest pub on the Peninsula, with old equestrian hardware on display on the old wooden beams. It has a separate bar and lounge/dining room, both with real fires. At the rear of the lounge is a small circular room, which is the pound (or animal holding area) which gives the pub its name. There is also a large seating terrace at the front, which may be covered by a large marquee in Winter.
Home-cooked, locally produced food ranges from Breakfasts (9.30 am to 12 Tues- Sat) to snacks and main meals (plus good Sunday Roasts) is served most days.
