Dating from 1871 this multi-levelled, four room pub retains its quirky charm and layout. There are six real ales including four changing guests. Home to local icon Maxine the Mannequin and a popular live music venue, it hosts regular performances on most Thursday and Friday nights. Other events include monthly quiz or poetry evenings. There is a world music club once per month. No food available, but free chip butties are available after Swindon Town FC home games. See What’s On page at www.bee-hive.co.uk for more information. The pictures and other art displayed is often for sale. The long standing landlord is proud of its community role and the pub works hard to support local charities.
