The 'Vic' is a lively pub with lots of entertainment. As you enter there is a raised seating area on the left with comfortable settees and benches. The walls are covered in music memorabilia including guitars and picture of bands who have played there. The downstairs bar is where the entertainment happens - music, DJs and other events.
The bar has three hand pumps, but only one is in regular use with a second for the occasional guest. There is a happy hour every weekday between 4pm - 7pm when there is a 50p discount on draught beers. Late nights on the weekend and also 'Wacky Wednesday' which features karaoke.
Historic Interest
Originally built as a Beerhouse in 1845. Rebuilt in its present form in 1867, it became an Ushers pub in 1918.
Extensively altered internally in the 1970s.
