This Pub is Permanently Closed

Closed August 2012. It briefly opened as an Irish pub after Arkell's pulled out over some issues. One of three pubs in Swindon's historic Railway Village. Owned by Swindon Borough Council.

Ropened as the Bakers Cafe on 3rd September 2018.

Historic Interest

A Grade II Listed Building. Opened in the 1840s as a bakery serving the railway village. GWR property, Arkells took a lease in the 1880s. Refurbished and full licence granted 1961. Traces of the oven remain in the lounge.
