Large 18th century inn in centre of town which was extensively renovated and expanded in 2020. There are fabulous sea views to be had from inside the pub and in the two outdoor balcony areas. The outdoor space has flaming gas heaters for those cold evenings but can be closed in rough weather. St Austell Proper Job and Tribute are regular ales with two changing ales from the St Austell and Bath Ales ranges. One of these is normally the St Austell Cask Club ale and will be one of the twelve new ales released throughout each year. There are nine bedrooms should you want to stay, some having a sea view. The pub has a reputation for excellent food.
