A 'tardis' of a pub, very tastefully renovated (winner of CAMRA's Pub Design Award) to provide a large main bar opening out to a courtyard and overlooked by a roof terrace. There is a 110 seat restaurant at the rear and an open-plan kitchen providing pizzas and other modern pub-style food. Normally most of Palmer's beers are available. Kitchen is open all day. The accommodation comprises three sea-view rooms, all named after Palmer's beers.
Restoration
A subtle and imaginative refit of a smallish pub in which nothing has been preserved from the original pub, save the Grade II-listed exterior. Palmers has created a new establishment which offers both traditional drinking and a restaurant style. It has been tastefully renovated to provide a large main bar opening out to a courtyard and overlooked by a roof terrace. There are good quality materials and finishes, such as lovely tiles. The bar counter is especially striking. A choice of meals and real ales and there is accommodation.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 5 regular beers.
