Owned and run by the local community, this pub has a single bar serving two drinking areas, one with a wood burning stove, and a pretty beer garden with plenty of seating, some under cover. Various music evenings, including a monthly Open Mic Night are hosted along with a quiz night which is held on the last Saturday of the month. Traditional pub games are played including darts, cards and dominoes. Local artists' work is on display.
Nearby (on some of the pub land) a new build local community shop is being run as a separate entity to provide basic groceries for the village.
The pub holds the Cask Marque Award for serving great quality real ale and has a toilet accessible to disabled customers.
AS THIS IS COMMUNITY RUN PUB AND DEPENDS UPON VOLUNTEERS IT MAY BE AN IDEA TO PHONE AND CHECK OPENING TIMES FIRST.
