The Briarbank is a modern public bar above its own micro brewery (but which has not brewed since early 2026). The entrance is to the rear, accessed from the adjoining yard.
The bar comprises a nicely furnished single room with a mixture of raised seating, comfortable bench seating and chairs around several wooden tables. The counter incorporates some barrels into its design and usually offers one or two cask ales (sometimes incliding including Briarbank Briar Bitter) and some keg/craft beers.
Additional seating is available in the yard adjoining the entrance.
Briarbank beers were previously brewed on-site but as at April 2026 are contract brewed elsewhere (when available).
As at May 2026 live music takes place once a month on Friday evenings - further details are on the pub's Facebook page.
Card only payments are accepted i.e. no cash is taken at the bar.
Historic Interest
The building was previously derelict for many years after being used as a bank.
