This Pub is Closed Long Term

Formerly home to its own micro-brewery, the Ball & Wicket was a community pub with large split-level bar, a separate restaurant, and letting rooms upstairs.

It was closed in June 2015 to be converted to student accommodation with a smaller café next door. The Café-bar, which served a range of bottled beer, but no real ale, closed in November 2019.

A planning application to convert the remainder of the building into flats was approved by the local Council in August 2021.
