This Pub is Permanently Closed

Closed in 1994, the pub was eventually demolished in 2000 and replaced by housing, the only reminder being the name; Anchor Close. The Anchor was probably Normandy's oldest pub, with the earliest references being from 1720. It is the place around which the original hamlet and community of Normandy centred.
