Beer Rebellion, Sydenham

The last in the chain of bars opened by the local Late Knights Brewery which opened on 22nd October 2015. Previously a bookmaker's then latterly a pop-up café. A hand built high bar counter to the left. Real ales are dispensed from jacket cooled casks on gravity dispense on a 2 level stillage on the open bar floor. Cider sold from uncooled boxes. Several keg taps on the bar counter. From 6th November 2015 the kitchen was commissioned with, initially at least, guest chefs operating on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The default is for real ales and ciders to be served in handled mugs. With Late Knights Brewery ceasing trading in August 2016 the beer range inevitably changed and the pub eventually came under the ownership of a new company Beer Rebellion Ltd. Closed in February 2017. Subsequently re-opened as a comedy club, called The Poodle Club
