This Pub is Permanently Closed

Overlooking General Gordon Square, located in the imposing Grade II listed former headquarters of the Woolwich Equitable Building Society which was built in 1935 and in which art deco features abound including lots of marble and an ornate ceiling. Large open space bar area and the bar counter has 6 handpumps and behind it there is a very traditional bar back. The usual Antic eclectic range of furniture with settees, old theatre seats, a variety of tables and padded bench seats and a metal bookshelf. The kitchen opened in late November 2014 and the balcony seating area was commissioned shortly afterwards. Usually live music on Friday and Saturday. Pub quiz on Thursday. Announced on 26th March 2023 that its kitchen would be closed until further notice.
