This historic former coaching house was constructed in the 17th Century and gains its maritime name from being built using timbers from a dismantled ship. In 2012 the pub was revitalised as a busy town-centre venue. Wooden beams contribute to the all round atmosphere where welcoming staff add to the old fashioned feel. A substantial range of gins and tonics are also on offer. The pretty garden has a heated smoking area and BBQ's are occasionally held in the summer months. Live bands play weekly on Fridays nights and occasionally at other times.
