A Green King pub in central Ascot, The Stag has been a feature on Ascot High Street since at least 1861. The pub has a strong emphasis on food, serving pub classics like steak and ale pie, fish and chips, burgers and Sunday roasts. Regular beers are Greene King IPA and Abbot Ale, and occasionally they have a guest GK beer as well. Note that it can get very busy when there are events at Ascot racecourse.
