An out of town gastro-pub with a strong local following, having low ceilings and oak beams in abundance, its origins as a Farmhouse and Blacksmith's Forge dating back to the 13th C. An attractive and cosy seating area, having red-brick walls and an ancient fireplace as centrepiece, beckons as you enter the old bar. Drinkers are also welcome in the surrounding area warmed by a log-burning stove. The pub prides itself in sourcing ingredients locally and producing homemade food that is cooked and served with passion - see http://www.thethatchedtavern.co.uk - an experience they wish to share with you. Fullers LP and Timothy Taylor Landlord are regular beers and the pub also serves a house beer Thatched Tavern Best Bitter, by Windsor & Eton brewery.
