After several years of closure this historic pub, tucked away down a passageway, was refurbished and reopened as a prosecco cocktail bar and café in April 2018. Closed again in July 2021, following intervention by South Yorkshire Police, Reopened again under new management in late March 2023. Close to Rotherham Minster, All Saints Square and the main shopping area. There is some outside seating.

Historic Interest

Former Red Lion Hotel dating from at least 1760. It used to front on to Bridgegate, but , when Bridgegate was rebuilt and widened in the 1920's, it could only be accessed via Red Lion Yard, as today.
