Friary Vaults Social Club, Plymouth

This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

This social club is situated in the St Jude’s area of the city. Up to three local reals ales are served. The club supports several darts, pool and euchre teams. It has been run by the same licensee for many years until he retired in August 2018. The club was then purchased by Pub Solutions (SW) Ltd and converted to a pub in August 2018.

Planning application, ref no 21/02227/FUL, dated 21/12/2021, proposal: Demolition of existing former Social Club and construction of new building to provide 10 no self-contained 1-bed apartments for elderly independent living with associated ancillary and communal accommodation. Date granted conditionally 09/09/2022.

A further planning application, ref no 23/01289/CDM, Condition Discharge: Conditions 3, 4, 5 & 6 of application 21/02227/FUL, was submitted on 12/09/2023 and Condition Discharge agreed on 07 December 2023.
