150 year-old traditional community pub, with two carpeted rooms and low-beamed ceilings. Ale lovers who are prepared to make the walk away from the town centre will receive a warm welcome. Normally five real ales are on offer from mainly small breweries with at least one St Austell beer usually available..

Large selection of gins and single malt whiskies. Good quality food is available lunchtimes and evenings. A real fire in the main bar.

Received a '10 years in the Guide' award in 2023.
