This Pub is Permanently Closed
Built around 1840 and known to be an alehouse by 1869 it was known as the Constitution Tavern, as this bit of what is now Broughton Road was once called Constitution Row. Bought around 1940 by the local brewery Hunt Edmunds, it eventually came into the ownership of Greene King and closed in 2011 (by which time it had been renamed Flowing Well, presumably after the local springs).
It is now a private residence called 'Old Constitution'.
