Rambling riverside 18th-century hotel a short walk from the town centre, much enlarged and refurbished over the years. Usually serving three ales from the Fuller's stable. The warren of rooms includes two bars, a restaurant that is open daily, and 15 bedrooms. The walls display evocative pictures of Thames life, including local rowing events. The long riverside terrace by the hotel's moorings is ideally placed to watch the boats go by.
The earliest mention of this establishment is in 1678 when a bargeman killed another there. Its less sinister claim to fame is that it has the longest private mooring on the Thames at 150ft.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
