Modern conversion of an older pub, now selling a choice of six cask beers, with a similar number of craft keg beers and a large selection of foreign cans and bottles. Floor is bare wood, with large windows overlooking the main thoroughfare in Hockley. Operated by the Pub People Company.

Historic Interest

The old Lord Nelson, this pub is located in Nottingham City Council's Lace Market Conservation Area. A more recent incarnation was as the Image Bar. The Lord Nelson was a John Smiths tied pub. In 1874, the Lord Nelson was a fully licensed establishment under victualler A. Richardson (Wright). The old Lord Nelson had a viewing panel showing the old well inside the pub. This no longer appears to be visible to the public.

The cave cellars measure 9m x 17m and include a meat cellar and a barrel thrall. [Referenced MNU 68 and BGS Cc2].

As at November 2017, the freehold for the Six Barrel Drafthouse (NT27932) was held by Unique Pub Properties Limited [Reg. No. 3726292], a subsidiary of Ei Group plc.
