July 2024 - Wetherspoon have sold the former Red Lion on Kilburn High St to EVERGREEN JERSEY CAPITAL LIMITED. The probelms behind opening the site proved too great even for this large company.
Good news - freehold acquired by Wetherspoons Sept 2021. Watch this space. A planning application has been registered by Wetherspoon to convert the whole building back (soul store west, Red Lion) to a pub. Bad news - July 2023 freehold for sale through Savills, Spoons have given up.

Just for the record, a stone plaque on the pub's parapet states that the current building was rebuilt in 1890 but that the pub has a history dating back to 1444.
A once traditional pub that became a bar and pool outlet called the Westbury, then Love & Liquor and then re-opened as Soul Store which subsequently closed in 2017 -
From the Brent & Kilburn Times: Staff at Love & Liquor in Kilburn High Road made the announcement on twitter in July 2016: “We are sad to announce that after 4 yrs of epic parties Love & Liquor will be closing its doors after this weekend.” Police had requested Camden Council to review the club’s licence after they claimed bouncers lost control of customers. The Council ordered the club to close at 1am instead of 3am from Monday to Saturday and until midnight on Sunday. It also had more than 30 restrictions placed on its licence. It has been speculated that the venue is part of a multi million pound takeover deal.
