This Pub is Permanently Closed
We continue to find it amusing that Councils can grant themselves planning permission

It closed for good on 10 Sept. Went by a few days ago and can confirm it is fully closed with metal hoardings on all windows.
Closed 10/09/22 - The pub is due for demolition as the whole area is being redeveloped although planning pemission has not been formally given - this was granted on 13/10/22.

Pub refurbished recently and now reopened. Sign listing 'cask ales' available on the window. Re-named in the first quarter of 2007 as the Cricketers and returned to the Lillie Langtry in 2011. interior and exterior as was. interestingly, still retains a lot of original Ind Coope livery and lanterns to the facade, and the original Ind Coope hanging pub sign with the Lillie Langtry name.
