Located in the shadow of the ancient fortified Monnow Bridge (built 1270), this is a stylish Georgian riverside building. Operating as a cafe bar/pub, Wye Valley favourites provide the beer and food is available most of the day. Formerly the Gate House, the interior was stripped and completely refurbished into its current incarnation by its independent operators in late 2025. This includes a function room with its own bar, toilets and balcony access which is available to hire. The outside features a terrace with riverside views. Parking is available opposite off Blestium Street.
