2016 description:
A basic wet-led boozer with a long interior and games section. It once sold copious amounts of Draught Bass (note the plaque on the outside wall) but over the years the availability of cask ales diminished until discontinued. Repossessed in December 2016.

Since then the Grade II building has been beautifully restored and is now operating as a combined Microbar and Bike Repair shop. Outwardly it doesn't appear to be different with the same Griffin name and the prominent Bass plaques on either side of the front window. Inside it is very cluttered with bicycle items with the bar at the far end. No draft beer though, bottled beers only. As they say 'last orders for food 7.30pm' we assume there must be some!
Historic Interest
