Set in the heart of the Taw Valley, this traditional coaching inn is an ideal base for walkers, fishermen and those exploring the local area, offering lovely views of the Taw valley and the Tarka line (Exeter to Barnstaple local train service). There is a comfortable lounge bar with wood-burning stove, a restaurant serving hearty home-cooked food, public bar with pool table and an attractive patio garden at the rear with views across the river. The regular Firefly is often accompanied by another from the Hanlon's range.
