This Pub is Permanently Closed
A large multi-roomed pub from 1939 with multi-pane frosted windows with some dimpled. The walls are adorned with pictures of old London and prints of adverts from days gone by. Seating is mostly traditional with two opposing sofas in front of the real fire. The pub has an enclosed beer garden consisting of a smoking shelter and a patio with the usual picnic tables. A new landlord took over in February 2013 so the following may no longer be true when the reopening of the snug, and the back bar being available for functions with a capacity of between 80 and 100 guests was planned. Pool tournaments are held every Tuesday, a quiz on Wednesday and Karaoke and live music at weekends. Subscription Sports TV is shown and a dart board is also available.
