This Pub is Permanently Closed
Built in 1895 to serve the (then) growing eastern suburbs of Lancaster. Despite a rather grand appearance it is really just an ordinary street-corner local. The original multi-room design has been partly opened up, but with rather more sensitivity than is usual. Floor tiles and stained glass (depicting bridges on the Lancaster Canal for some reason) can be seen in situ.
