Situated on the City's High Street, previously a cinema and live entertainment venue, JD Wetherspoon refurbished the Ritz retaining its Art Deco design and external neon lighting, reflecting its past. Inside the walls are decorated with pictures/autographs of past acts and performers that appeared there in its previous life. Unusually for a Wetherspoon you won’t have to walk seemingly miles to visit the restrooms! The venue hosts monthly Meet the Brewer/tap take over evenings. Very popular on football match days.
