This Pub is Permanently Closed

Ex Shipstones of Nottingham, The Bowlturners used to be a superb characterful pub selling vast amounts of Shipstone Mild in particular. It had an excellent small plain front bar and a small rear lounge accessed via a side enclosed yard. It deteriorated under Greenalls' ownership, and in 1995, was knocked-together as a single room. Its later years were characterised by unreliable management and lack of decent beer. Converted to a shop in June 2016.
